Texon International to launch new cellulose insoling material at APLF

01/03/2006

Developer of structural component solutions for the global footwear industry Texon International, will launch Texon Aloe, a new cellulose insoling material, at the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) in Hong Kong on March 28-31.

Combining the benefits of aromatherapy with a new anti-odour technology, Texon Aloe provides an oxygenating and anti-microbe action to inhibit the formation and release of bacteria while releasing a pleasant scent.

During the Texon manufacturing process, the cellulose material is enriched with two active ingredients, Aloe Vera which contains aloe vera plant gel and Texon Inodore, a new anti-odour treatment which prevents odour from escaping by lowering the vapour pressure of unpleasant odours and neutralising their effect.
The two materials interact to create a freshening effect when pressure is applied during wear.

The two active ingredients are enclosed in microcapsules made of a special resin to prevent damage to the plant cell elements during the cellulose manufacturing process as well as the footwear manufacturing process.
