Over 50,000 textile and fashion professionals gathered in Paris for Première Vision Pluriel held last week and the new format of holding five complementary salons—Expofil, Première Vision, Le Cuir à Paris, Indigo and Mod’Amont—together has proved a success.
The February session brought together 1,332 exhibitors showing the major creative directions in terms of colours and fabrics, patterns and accessories. Le Cuir à Paris and Indigo, which enlarged their offer thanks to a significant increase in their number of exhibitors (+24% for Le Cuir à Paris and +7% for Indigo), both recorded strong increases in visitor numbers; and in spite of a particularly difficult calendar (with fashion shows in Italy, seasonal holidays in Germany and in Asia, etc.) Expofil, Première Vision and Mod’Amont maintained their visitor levels, with visitors coming from some 106 different countries. Overall, the two shows saw a slight decrease in visitor numbers of 2.8% compared with the March 2005 edition.
