Designer of golf-inspired sportswear Ashworth, Inc. has reported strong initial sales of its spring/summer 2006 AWS (Ashworth Weather Systems) collection. The first spring delivery arrived in December and early indications point to a successful launch.

AWS is a three-layer system that utilises advanced technology to create a balance between fashion and function in varied climatic conditions. Offered as a comprehensive collection for both men and women, AWS features a next-to-skin layer that removes moisture from the skin, a thermal layer to provide warmth and an outer layer to protect the golfer from the elements.
