New VP named at DuPont Sorona

DuPont has appointed Peter C. Hemken as vice president and general manager of DuPont Bio-Based Materials - Sorona and Bio-PDO. He will be responsible for globalising the adoption of DuPont Sorona and Bio- PDO, the first DuPont materials made using corn as the raw material.

Mr Hemken previously served as the CEO of Kordsa International, formerly DuPont-Sabanci International. He first joined DuPont in 1977 and has held a variety of engineering, technical, manufacturing, marketing and business management positions - mainly in the former nylon, polyester and other fibres businesses in the United States and in Asia.
