US manufacturer of integrated software and hardware automation systems for manufacturers and retailers in the sewn products and flexible materials industries, Gerber Technology, will celebrate its 25th anniversary of business success in Mexico in 2006. Gerber first entered the Mexican apparel industry in 1981, when the company sold its first two CAD/CAM systems in the country, an AM-1 automated grading and marking system and an S-91 GERBERcutter.

As a result of its growth and success in the region, in May 1988 the company established a direct subsidiary; Gerber Technology S.A. de C.V., which now manages all sales and services to the region.

To date, the business generated in the region exceeds $85 million serving over 750 customers operating over 2,000 systems and workstations.
