American Eagle Outfitters posts higher sales

US-based accessories, outerwear, footwear and swimwear manufacturer American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. has posted increased sales for the month ended April 1. Sales for the period rose 9% to $201.6 million, compared with $185.4 million for the same period in 2005. Comparable store sales increased 3% for the month.
Total sales for the year-to-date period ended April 1 increased 10% to $344.7 million compared with $313.1 million in 2005, while comparable store sales increased 4%.
