According to local media reports, the Chinese Government has stated that it will support domestic footwear companies if they decide to take legal action against the European Commission over its decision to impose provisional anti-dumping duties on Chinese leather shoes. The tariffs came into effect on April 7, and have also been applied to footwear produced in Vietnam.
