According to the organisers 4,081 visitors from 43 countries attended Techtextil North America, in Atlanta, GA, USA, with 329 exhibitors from 25 countries showcasing their latest innovations and developments.
 

The Techtextil-Symposium North America, which was held concurrently, also hosted a record number of attendees. The two-and-a-half day programme commenced with an address from Greg Rogowski, president and CEO of Performance Fibers, focusing on the future global marketplace of the industry.

Other popular session topics in the Symposium included technical textiles R&D at the university level, advanced nonwovens, developments in fibres, emerging technology, specialty applications, protection for law enforcement and military, and nanotechnology.
