To celebrate the spirit of its new campaign Joga Bonito (Portuguese for "play beautiful"), Nike has commited $1 million for three soccer fields in Los Angeles, three in New York and four in Chicago, as well as providing soccer equipment for 12 additional cities.

The ten fields will be made of FieldTurf synthetic grass, and are designed to introduce the Brazilian futsal-style of small-field soccer that emphasises ball control and foot skills.

The fields will also incorporate approximately 20-25% Nike Grind Rubber. A total of 16,000 pounds of Nike Grind Rubber in the Los Angeles fields alone represents the remains from manufacturing over 60,000 pairs of sports shoes.
