In anticipation of the 2006 World Cup, German sports apparel manufacturer Puma has launched an exclusive sportswear collection signed by Brazilian football legend Pelé.

The 2006 spring/summer collection includes a range of sweaters, coats, T-shirts, footwear, caps, bags and accessories called the Puma Pelé Collection, the highlight of which is a football signed by Pelé and bearing the Puma symbol.  

This is the first time Pelé has lent his name to a sportswear collection. I think everybody knows that Puma is a synonym for football… I used to be sponsored by Puma,” said Pelé. Now we are getting back together and I am very happy to come back to the family.”
