Sports equipment trade fair ispovision summer 2006 will be the venue for the fifth Global Sportstyle Awards ceremony on July 17 in Munich, Germany.

The nominating jury composed of fashion and lifestyle journalists has made some changes to the voting procedure for the awards and the main categories have been rearranged. There are now new classifications in the sportstyle segments such as Golf Style and Yachting Style. A distinction is made within individual segments according to the criteria of fashion” and function” as subcategories.

The voting procedure is being adapted to these new categories, although evaluation by internationally renowned retailers during the trade fair will be maintained.

The five standard product categories are Premium Sportstyle, Yachting Style, Golf Style, Outdoor Style and Wellness Style. The two additional categories are Newcomer of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award. The latter will be awarded to individuals – mainly designers – who have made significant contributions to the Sportstyle segment internationally.
