Tefron sales rise 8%

09/05/2006
Israeli producer of seamless intimate apparel and active wear Tefron Ltd. has posted revenues of $56.8 million for the first quarter of 2006, an increase of 8% over the comparable period in 2005.

On a pro-forma basis excluding AlbaHealth, which Tefron sold on April 27, revenues for the quarter reached $49.4 million, representing an 11% increase over the first quarter of 2005. The growth in revenues over the first quarter of 2005 were mainly attributed to the growth in sales of the company's active-wear product line, and in particular sales to Nike for its Nike Pro category, as well as to the growth in sales of the swimwear product line.

Tefron manufactures seamless intimate apparel, active wear and swimwear sold under brand names such as Nike, The Gap, Banana Republic, Target, Warnaco/Calvin Klein,
Patagonia, and Reebok.
