Plant contractor for the polymers and synthetic fibres industry Zimmer AG, a company of the GEA Group, has sold its subsidiary Polytrade GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, to holding and project development company Zoom Developers Limited headquartered in Mumbai, India, with retrospective effect from January 1.

Polytrade will continue to cooperate closely with Zimmer and will remain its marketing partner for polyester granulates, polyamides and fibres from Zimmer-built plants. Polytrade will also continue its polyester additive and catalyst production and marketing activities under a Zimmer licence.

In the future, Polytrade will further expand its existing business in the area of polymer granulates and the associated raw materials and additives for the spun fibres and packaging markets.
