Sporting equipment, apparel and footwear retailer Dick's Sporting Goods, Inc. has published sales and earnings results for the first quarter ended April 29.

Net income increased 30% to $11.4 compared with $8.8 million in the corresponding period in 2005.

Net sales for the quarter increased 13% to $645.5 million from $570.843 in 2005.
