Swiss company Ciba Specialty Chemicals has completed the construction of its Digital Textile Printing Centre of Excellence, designed to provide its customers with state‑of‑the‑art service and development support for ink jet printing on plotters.

The official opening of the centre is scheduled for June and a customer symposium is being planned for the autumn.

The centre, at Ciba Specialty Chemicals’ site in Origgio, Italy, will support the whole of Europe and is strategically located near the company’s substantial customer base in Northern Italy and the Digital Textile Centre at Reggiani Macchine (Bergamo), Ciba Textile Effects’ partner in industrial‑scale digital textile printing.
