Designer, marketer and distributor of active outdoor apparel and footwear Columbia Sportswear has signed a sponsorship deal with the Scottish Adventure Ladies Team (SALT). Columbia will serve as the official title and apparel sponsor, supporting the team for the 2006 adventure racing season.

Columbia SALT is the only all female racing and training squad based in Scotland. Just a year old, the team consists of nine elite members and a full squad of 25. Collectively they draw on an impressive range of sports and racing experience, including an elite level cross-country mountain bike racer, marathon and mountain marathon athletes, experienced rock climbers, ski racers and mountaineer and sea-kayaking expedition leaders.
