Dow Corning Corporation will present its new, patented impact protection technology – the Dow Corning Active Protection System – at The Football Association/Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, 18th Joint Conference on Sports Injury, in Northamptonshire, England, on July 2.

Graham Budden, a Dow Corning senior development chemist, will present “Product Research into High Performance Materials for Aiding in the Prevention of Injuries and Protection of Sports People”.

“In most sports, there is risk of injury as a result of a collision,” said Mr Budden. “For years, manufacturers of high-performance apparel have struggled to develop systems that protect against high-energy impacts without sacrificing flexibility, breathability or ease of use. Now, they can meet this challenge with the superior defence and comfort provided by the Dow Corning Active Protection System.”
