Producer of phase change materials (PCM) Outlast Europe GmbH and manufacturer of foamed chloroprene rubber (neoprene) Sedo Chemicals Neopren GmbH have collaborated to develop a new phase change neoprene material combining the isolation and high elasticity features of neoprene with the added value of temperature regulation. Through the collaboration it is hoped to reverse the negative reputation of neoprene in terms of its lack of breathability.

The new product involves Sedo laminating knitted polyester fabrics onto neoprene sheets which have been coated with Outlast technology.
