Manufacturer and marketer of specialty fibres and nonwoven materials Buckeye Technologies Inc. has received the 2005 Supplier Excellence Award from the Eastman Chemical Company for its Memphis Cotton Cellulose Plant.

The award is given annually to the top 3% of its best suppliers whose performance meets strict and demanding criteria.

The Memphis plant performance in 2005 was reportedly exceptional in making on-time deliveries and additionally, Buckeye developed innovative new products to enhance Eastman Chemical's results.
