Market research company Research and Markets has released a new report entitled “China Sourcing Report: Swimwear”. It claims that China is the world's largest exporter of swimwear, accounting for approximately 70% of global shipments.

According to the report, suppliers are anticipating overseas shipments to increase by at least 20% in 2006, and exports have already increased by 20% in value since the beginning of the year. It states that in 2005, China shipped more than 259 million swimwear items worth around $383 million. Exports increased 26% in volume and 38% in value compared with the previous year.

The report also includes profiles of 65 major swimwear suppliers and an extensive industry overview.
