Celanese raises emulsion prices
Polymer emulsions company Celanese Chemicals will increase the price of all PVAc homopolymer, VAE co-polymer, acrylic, vinyl-acrylic and styrene-acrylic emulsions by 5-10%. This increase applies to all applications world-wide. The increase will be effective for shipments on or after July 1, or as contracts allow.
"Unprecedented and sustained increases in raw materials, freight and energy costs have primarily caused the need for us to increase prices on emulsions," said Chris Hoffman, global sales director for the Emulsions business.
Product applications include adhesives, coatings, engineered fabrics, glass fibres, paper and textiles.
