At the AGM of Edana, held in Vienna, Austria,  on June 7, Luc Maes, chairman of British Vita Nonwovens Division (Libeltex BVBA), Belgium, was unanimously elected as chairman of Edana for a one-year term of office. He replaces Knud Waede Hansen who will retire as managing director of Fibertex A/S later this year.
 

Gunnar Preifors, director R&D Personal Care, SCA Hygiene Products AB, Sweden, was elected as vice-chairman and Paul Eevers, director Beverages, Supply Management, Unilever Europe Foods, Belgium, was re-elected as treasurer.

Departing board members were Rolf Altdorf, Ingemar Bengtson, Aldo Ghira, Patrick Jeambar, Marko Rajamaa and Knud Waede Hansen.
