Executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Celanese Corporation Dr Andreas Pohlmann will leave the chemical company by mutually amicable consent at the end of the 2006. He will also resign as chairman of the management board of chemical manufacturer Celanese AG at that time.

Andreas Pohlmann has been a member of the global executive management team since the founding of Celanese Corporation and was named chairman of the management board of Celanese AG on November 1, 2004. His primary responsibility was the company’s reorganisation in Germany which was completed at the end of May.
