Specialty retailer of action sports related apparel, footwear, equipment and accessories Zumiez Inc. has recorded net sales of $21.2 million for the five-week period ended July 1.

This is an increase of 38.2% compared with $15.3 million for the corresponding five-week period in 2005. The company's comparable store sales increased 12.4% for the five-week period, compared with a 10.7% increase in the same period in 2005.

The company completed its acquisition of 19 Fast Forward stores on June 24 although they are not included in the company's comparable store base.
