Sportswear manufacturer Gildan Activewear Inc. has completed its acquisition of Kentucky Derby Hosiery Co., Inc., as of July 6. The acquisition is intended to accelerate the company’s strategy to enter the North American retail channel as a supplier of athletic socks, underwear and activewear.
