Nike and Apple launch new sport kit

Nike and Apple have officially launched the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, the first product developed through the partnership between the two companies reported at the end of May.

The kit allows Nike+ ready footwear to communicate with the Apple iPod nano through a sensor in the shoe and a receiver plugged into the music player allowing the runner to receive audible updates on speed, distance and calories burned throughout the run.

Nike is also introducing the Nike Air Zoom Moire+ and the Nike Air Zoom Plus+, the first of six styles of footwear that will comprise Nike+.
