Italy’s RadiciFibres Fashion&Interiors—which offers technologically-advanced solutions for lingerie and sportswear manufacturers—will unveil several new products at Interfilière, Lyon, France, on September 2-4.

Radilon Plus PA 66 Taslan dtex 190F136 UV Protection is the company’s major new innovation that will be presented. Fabrics made with this taslan yarn provide effective protection to the skin against ultraviolet (UV) radiation.

The UV protection provided by fabric depends on many factors such as the type of fibre, colour, finishing, moisture content, composition, type and tightness of the weave and area mass (gr/cm²). The weaving method must leave no gaps between threads through which UV rays could penetrate the cloth.

Fabrics made with RadilonPlus have been tested for compliance with EU standard EN 13758-I. The product is available in POY, FDY, Air Jet and DTY versions with various deniers and is suitable for sportswear and leisurewear.
