Performance polymer producer Kraton Polymers LLC plans to increase its production capacity for unhydrogenated styrenic block copolymers (USBCs) at its European plants. This 20 kilotons per annum increase comes in response to rising demand from customers in a variety of global markets and is expected to come online by April 2007.

SBCs are highly engineered synthetic elastomers, which enhance the performance of products through greater flexibility, resilience, strength, durability and processability. Applications include labels and footwear products.
