Nahar's net profit jumps 35.34% in Q1
India's Nahar Industrial Enterprises Ltd., which has interests in spinning, weaving, fabric, garments and sugar has recorded a 35.34% net profit increase, from Rs14.25 crore ($3.04 million) in the first quarter of fiscal 2005-06 to Rs19.29 crore during the first quarter of fiscal 2006-07.
The company attributes the increase to better planning, forward and backward integration of the textile units and better realisation of value addition and working capital management.
The company has plans for expansion in the textile division with total capital outlay exceeding Rs800 crore to enhance spinning, weaving and fabric processing facilities and retail stores.
