Following its spin off from Sara Lee, US apparel, activewear and underwear manufacturer Hanesbrands Inc. has selected seven new members to join executive chairman Lee Chaden and CEO Richard Nollas as members on its board of directors.

The new members are Harry Cockrell, director and shareholder of Hong Kong-based Pacific Tiger Group Limited, PTG Investment Holdings Corporation and Pathfinder Investment Holdings Corporation; Charles Coker, former chairman, president and chief executive officer, Sonoco Products Company; Bobby Griffin, president, International Operations, Ryder System, Inc.; James Johnson, vice president, corporate secretary and assistant general counsel, The Boeing Company; J Mulcahy, vice chairman, Energizer Holdings, Inc.; Alice Peterson, founder and president of Syrus Global; and Andrew Schindler, retired chairman, Reynolds American Inc.
