Dr Gary Allen has joined hunting apparel, swimwear, wind shirts, jackets and sleeping bag manufacturer Innovative Designs, Inc. on its consulting staff. Dr Allen is the founder of Material Innovations, LLC, before which he was vice president of Business Development for Bayer Polymers and vice president of Research for Bayer's Polyurethanes Division.

It is hoped that Dr Allen's background in new product commercialisation will assist the company in identifying new market segments and applications. He will play a role in developing and filing patent applications in new market segments, or for new applications of Insultex.
