Portuguese spinning company Têxtil Tearfil, S.A, a partner of Germany-based textile company SeaCell launched a new Dri-release Sea-Cell yarn at OutDoor Friedrichshafen in July.

The cellulose fibre contains seaweed and silver ions and is said to provide active moisture management, breathability and high comfort.

The combination of FreshGuard and silver ions will help to guard against infectious micro-organisms and odour in the garments made with the yarn and these properties do not wash out.
