Milliken & Company has launched a new UV protective SolarBAN fabric to protect outdoor enthusiasts from over exposure.

Fishing waders and apparel company Simms Fishing Products has incorporated the new fabric for its popular Superlight Fishing Shirt. Simms recently updated the shirt with SolarBAN and enhanced design features, providing superior sun protection, ventilation and comfort for anglers. Properties include UPF 50+, quick drying, 100% high-tenacity polyester fabric for comfort and durability, stretch panels under the arms for ease of casting and lightweight mesh ventilation in the back, Visa fabric treatment by Milliken to provide wicking and stain release, two thermolaminated chest pockets with zipper closure, articulated sleeve for unrestricted casting, as well as full-coverage cuff for additional sun protection; garment weight is approximately 6.4 oz.

The shirt is available in light khaki, blue, yellow and green colours and is on show at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
