Record financial results at Texhong in first half

Chinese core-spun cotton textile manufacturer Texhong Textile Group Limited has reported record results for the six-month period ended June 30. Turnover increased by 41.7% to RMB1,198 million ($150.4 million) and net profit increased by 40.2% to RMB111.6 million.

According to the group's chairman Hong Tianzhu, sales of spandex stretch yarn and grey fabrics in the domestic market achieved record results in terms of volume and overall gross profit margin, and net profit margin maintained a similar level compared with the same period last year. Overseas sales surged by 75.9% to RMB147 million.

The group's yarn and grey fabrics were sold to over 17 provinces and cities in China, and garment fabrics were exported to numerous countries overseas such as Europe, North America, South Korea, Hong Kong and Bangladesh.

Texhong recently launched new core-spun cotton textile products including Dow XLA stretch.
