National pavilions from the Philippines and Malaysia have confirmed their participation at Source It 2006 which will be held on October 4–6 in Hong Kong.

With their expertise in designing and manufacturing children’s wear, the skills of Filipino textile professionals are increasingly admired world-wide. Demand for Filipino products is growing and the country's textile and garment industry is gaining strength year by year.

In an effort to further boost international trade, the Confederation of Garment Exporters of the Philippines (CONGEP) will bring a group of around 20 manufacturers to exhibit at Source It.

Malaysian exhibitors will also showcase their latest products. Malaysia's exports of textile and clothing remained resilient in 2005, growing by over 6% to reach almost $3 billion, with the main importers being the US, UK, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. MATRADE, the Malaysian External Export Development Corporation, will sponsor Malaysian companies to attend Source It in October 2006 including Uprise International Marketing, Nyok Ian Garments, Penfabric and Chongai Knitting Company.
