Fire recovery on track at Lanxess’ Tarragona site

German chemical company Lanxess has put two compounding lines for the production of ABS plastics back on stream at its plant in Tarragona, Spain. The compounding facilities were damaged in a fire on August 18 and production was temporarily disrupted as a result.

The fire has had no effect on the project to expand capacity in Tarragona. The realignment of the business unit is also proceeding completely according to plan.
