Extended Hi’Tech section a hit at Interfilière

393 exhibitors attended this year’s Interfilière, September 2-4 and a combination of The General Forum provided a showcase for fabrics, with various display techniques and trends tables. The Austrian embroidery exhibit attracted interest, as did the presentation given by president of the Association of Austrian Embroiderers Mr Streitler.

Other popular attractions included the Tissuthèque Fabric library, Speaker's corner and The Summer Party.

Topics covered at Speaker’s Corner included: “The advantages of giving fabrics added-value”, with Emmanuelle Bonnettin (Rocle by Cotton), Didier Dieppois (European Stretch Fabrics), Jean-Jacques Behar (DGE Engineering) and Ezio Acerbe (Chance by Intesa); “How far can the featherweights go?”, with  Ria Stern (Hyosung), Martin Hermann (Willy Hermann), Maryvonne Bigio (Tissages Perrin Verel) and Danièle David (Eurojersey); “New plant fibres are hot property”, with  Friedrich Ruhrnossl (Lenzing), Gerhard Neudorfer (Seacell Gmbh), Berndt Roth (Handel & Diller) and Dominique Heuillard (Louis Vidon); and “Products and innovations: is 2006 a good year?”, with Rahel Greuter (Greuter-Jersey) and Michel Caillibotte (Dow Fiber Solutions).
