US-based distributor of imprintable activewear Broder Bros., Co. has acquired substantially all the assets of imprintable activewear company Amtex Imports Inc.

The acquisition of Amtex will facilitate the entry of Broder Bros into the Chicago market, where the company has leased a 425,000 sq.ft facility which will operate as a multi-branded distribution centre.

Amtex is a single location distributor with approximately $40 million in annual revenues, and around 40 employees. The purchase price was approximately $6.8 million and the company acquired approximately $4.5 million in net working capital.
