Foot Locker donates over 4,000 pairs of shoes & socks to children

06/10/2006

Thousands of underprivileged children in Los Angeles will be given a pair of brand new athletic shoes at the Fred Jordan Mission's 18th Annual Back-to-School New Clothing Giveaway, in partnership with athletic specialty retailer Foot Locker. Each child will be custom-fitted with well-fitting shoes and Foot Locker will donate athletic shoes and socks to more than 4,000 children.

Several children will be modelling their new athletic shoes, socks, and apparel throughout the day on a special runway.

The Mission also receives products for this event from over 25 companies nationwide, including Avery Dennison, Kids Kaps and Wal-Mart.
