4.2% increase in September sales at Pacific Sunwear

US specialty retailer of apparel, accessories and footwear Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has reported that sales for the five weeks ended September 30 were $118.4 million, an increase of 4.2% over sales of $113.7 million during the same period last year. Same-store sales decreased by 2.4% during the period.

Sales for the first 35 weeks of 2006 were $900.8 million, an increase of 2.5% over sales of $878.5 million for the same period last year. Same-store sales decreased 4.7% during the same period.
