US-based textiles producer Polymer Group Inc. has opened a new manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China.

According to the company, it is now China’s largest producer of spunmelt fabrics and the country’s only vertically-integrated producer of medical fabrics.

The new plant houses a multi-beam Reifenhauser spunmelt line and a finishing line for the medical, industrial protective apparel, and hygiene markets.
