Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry has submitted a proposal to the government to promote eleven key industries within the country and help with their development up to 2010.

These industries include textiles, garments, leather footwear, plastic and chemicals. Each would receive the state budget in addition to official development assistance (ODA) capital to be used for development purposes.
