According to the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladeshi exports grew 31.28% during July and August.

A significant rise in exports of knitwear and home textiles as well as jute goods, leather, raw jute and petroleum by-products contributed to the increase in revenue.

Leather exports totalled $47.01 million during the period, a 24.56% growth and footwear exports rose 30% to $18 million.

The export-earning target for the current fiscal year has been set at $12.5 billion.
