Q3 apparel and footwear sales up at Oakley
Performance apparel, footwear and accessories company Oakley, Inc. has posted improved financial results for its third quarter ended September 30. Net sales increased 21.2% to a quarterly record $210.2 million compared with $173.4 million in the same period in 2005. Net income for the third quarter totalled $17.3 million compared with $16.1 million in the third quarter of 2005.
Net sales of apparel, footwear and accessories (AFA) totalled $46.3 million, an increase of 2.4% compared with net sales of $45.3 million in 2005.
Total third quarter US net sales (wholesale and retail) increased 27.9% to $116.7 million, compared with $91.3 million during the third quarter of 2005. International net sales were $93.5 million, a 13.8% increase from $82.1 in the third quarter of 2005. The company's EMEA (
