More than 8,000 buyers at Interstoff Asia

Interstoff Asia Autumn completed its 20th anniversary run in
Hong Kong, October 4-6. 268 exhibors from ten countries attended the event along with more than 8,000 buyers from all over the worldwide.

A full schedule of seminars, fashion shows, functional fabrics demonstrations and trend displays took place and exhibits presented in three thematic groups – creation, function and fashion.

Major labels represented at the fair included Liz Claiborne, Benetton, Donna Karan, Gap, Georgio Armani, Levi Strauss, Nike and Quiksilver.

The Korean Fashion Textile Association attended the fair with a group of 33 Korean manufacturers, including ten silk producers from the Jinju region. Taiwanese manufacturers, known for their advances in functional fabrics, presented 17 companies under the heading ‘Amazing Taiwan’.

The CEO Forum attracted a great deal of attention and industry expert speakers included president of Trade Negotiations and Legislative Affairs Practice of Sandler Travis and Rosenberg, Robert Sorini, chairman of AFTEX (ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries), Mr Phongsak Assakul, and executive director of Li & Fung, Mr Marc Compagnon. Over 50 attendees took part.

The next edition of Interstoff Asia will take place March 14-16, 2007.
