Bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Pakistan increased by 10.7% during 2005, with textiles and leather amongst the main import and export items.
Odil Guraev, Uzbekistan’s deputy minister of foreign economic relation investment, said that GDP growth in Uzbekistan was over 7%, with the first nine months of this year showing a GDP growth of 7.3%. This includes a 10.2% growth in industrial production and 7.1% in agricultural production.
