Vietnam’s deputy minister of trade, Do Nhu Dinh, and Pakistani businesses are calling for increased trade between their two countries. Do Nhu Dinh voiced concerns about the current low volume of bilateral trade despite good relationships, backed by the president of Lahore chambers, Shahid Hassan Sheikh, who called for more sector-specific efforts. He said that Vietnam's market offers huge potential for a wide range of sectors in Pakistan, including cotton, raw hides and skins, knit fabrics and sports goods.
