Further decline at Rocky Brands in Q3

08/11/2006

Footwear and apparel company
Rocky Brands, Inc. has posted a decline in net sales for its third quarter ended September 30.

Net sales decreased 17% to $78.1 million compared with $94.1 million for the corresponding period a year ago. The decrease in sales has been attributed to weaker than expected results in outdoor footwear and apparel, a slowdown in its sales of western footwear, and a decline in footwear sales to the military.

Net income was $4.2 million versus net income of $6.5 million and gross profit was $32.1 million, compared with $34.1 million for the same period last year.
