Slight drop in Pacific Sunwear’s third quarter sales

Third-quarter total sales for Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. reached $375.4 million, down slightly from $377.5 million for the same third quarter in 2005. Same-store sales for the period decreased 6.7% compared to 2005.
Total sales for the first three quarters of the company’s 2006 fiscal year were $989.0 million, an increase of 2.3% over $966.5 million for the equivalent period in 2005. Same-store sales decreased 4.9% for the comparable thirty-nine week period.
