Performance Fibers has expanded its low-denier industrial (LDI) yarn facility in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. The company is making a multi-million dollar investment in modernised draw winder machinery that will expand the plant’s capacity by more than 10%. The new line is expected to start up by the middle of next year.

The fine-denier, high-tenacity yarns are used in sewing, embroidery, outdoor fabric, awnings, banners, outdoor signs, flags, technical textiles and apparel.
